Seeding Package Design
Stepping into the niche field of Beverage Tech, where consumer electronics and health meet, with a bold product that seeks to challenge convention, requires a carefully considered first impression.
With little precedent for a “Smart Bottle” — LifeFuels needed to establish credibility and familiarity as quickly as possible to help validate its position in the market and guide users to associate it with other top-tier personal tech products in terms of value. As part of that strategy, the Seeding package was designed with cutting-edge technology, elegance, and simplicity in mind.
By setting the tone before early adopters get their first in-person glimpse at the Bottle, we can amplify its sleek and cutting-edge design as well as establish it as a smart device worthy of owning.

Separated Content To Support Budget-Friendly Variation
Given our small production runs and relatively high cost, we separated the packaging into three distinct components:
Primary Box
Secondary Sleeve
Nutrition Facts and Legal Req Sticker
In doing so, the most expensive components of the package, the primary box, can be ordered in higher quantity production runs and used for any colorway or special edition. The sleeve can be printed to reflect the specific bottle version, and nutrition facts printed on-site in accordance with a customer’s unique order.
Elevating Identity and Guiding Expectations
As with every product startup launch— LifeFuels had to balance introducing its Identity as a unique brand, with establishing connections to pre-existing product archetypes in order to help ground its novelty. The Seeding package does just that with sparse yet bold design elements that illustrate the brand’s punchy energy and high-quality materials and construction typically found in premium electronics.
The high contrast between the brand's saturated gradient palette and matte black outer shell combined with the light-catching spot gloss detailing further illustrates the dynamic energy and builds upon the drama of the unboxing reveal.
Elegant Unboxing Reveal
Nested within two pulp trays— the Bottle and Pods take center stage in the product reveal; concealing the cleaning brush and charger underneath. By providing the same minimalist, elevated, and sophisticated unboxing experience a user would expect from the latest smartphone, LifeFuels is able to associate its flagship product with the most advanced consumer electronics on the market.
